Love Letter to Our Little Ones

Dear Little One - 

Every February, people of all ages and from all kinds of different places get together to celebrate love. Since you are new to the world, we wanted to write you your very own love letter for your very first Valentine’s Day.

You are SO loved. And here’s what love wishes for you:

Love wishes a thousand cozy sleeps for you. Snoozy morning naps, comfy nighttime dreams, snuggles with your parents and siblings, and the cutest soft PJs. Love wishes you goodnight kisses, and twinkling little stars, your favorite teddy bear, and a safe, comfortable place to sleep that’s all your own.

Love wishes that you would have room to play and grow. Fun toys, good music, and beautiful art to surround you, laughter and books to read, and places to keep all of your most precious things. Love wishes you space for tummy time, then for first sit ups, for rolling over, for crawl, toddle, walk, and eventually, space for run. 

Love wishes for yummy food to fill your belly. For supper time giggles and silly, splattered messes. Love hopes you find flavors that make you happy, that you learn to try new things, and that when you nourish your tummy, you feel joy.

Love wishes for new ways for you to explore. Whether you’re watching the world go by from your stroller, learning to help out in the kitchen, or stretching up to brush your teeth all by yourself for the very first time, love hopes you continue to reach higher and try harder and find out all of the wonderful things you can do.

Love wishes that you always feel safe. That you always know for sure that the people around you are doing everything they can to make sure you are cared for, and happy, and warm, and held. Love hopes you never forget how very much you are loved.

Love wishes for you a year full of new memories. A whole year of tiny, magical moments that will become unforgettable parts of the great big story of your life. First smiles, first steps, first sleeps through the night. Love hopes that the moments of your baby and childhood are full of family, full of fun times…
